You are bidding on a eight x 10 black and white photograph of HMS / HMCS Mayflower K191, a Flower Class (39-40 program) Corvette , built for the Royal Navy, which served in the Royal Navy from 1940 to 1941, and the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 to 1945. Like her sister corvettes she served on convoy escorts in the Battle of Atlantic. Paid off at war’s end, she was returned to the Royal Navy and broken up in 1949.Photograph one, is circa 1942. and shows an overall waterline starboard bow view. Item 2 is an eight x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge, general characteristics, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew. Item three is a short history of the Mayflower, complete with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a crew photograph.
